DMBJ Transportation
Important Notice
Cancellation fees apply when drivers have already been assigned to your booking. This ensures our drivers are compensated for the time they've reserved and the opportunity cost of not being able to accept other bookings.
Free Cancellation Windows
Local Trips
Free cancellation until 3 hours before pickup. Cancel your local trip booking at least 3 hours before the scheduled pickup time to avoid any cancellation fees.
Long-Distance or Specialty Vehicles
Free cancellation up to 12 hours before pickup. This applies to:
- Long-distance trips (typically over 50 miles)
- SUV bookings
- Sprinter/Van bookings
- Luxury sedan bookings for special events
Cancellation Fees
Sedan / SUV
If you cancel after the free cancellation window, you will be charged 100% of the total fare. This applies to all sedan and SUV bookings.
Sprinter / Van / Limo
For larger vehicles, cancellation fees are calculated as either:
- 100% of the total fare, or
- A 2-4 hour minimum charge (whichever is greater)
The minimum charge ensures drivers are compensated for the extended time commitment required for larger vehicle bookings.
Wait Time & No-Show Policy
We hold the pickup time you booked. If you're running late, here's what happens.
Standard Pickups (non-airport)
- 0–15 min late: No charge. Your driver waits.
- 16–30 min late: Billed at the vehicle's hourly rate, rounded up to the next full hour. (E.g., 17 minutes late on a $150/hr vehicle = $150 wait charge.)
- 30+ min late: Marked as a no-show. Driver is released and the full booked fare is forfeited.
Hourly Trips
Hourly bookings get a 15-minute grace period at both pickup and drop-off:
- Pickup grace: Same as standard pickups above — 15 min free, then billed to the next full hour, no-show after 30 min.
- Drop-off grace: If your trip runs over the booked end time by 15 minutes or less, no extra charge. Past 15 minutes, the additional time is billed at the vehicle's hourly rate, prorated by the minute.
Airport Pickups
We track your inbound flight. The 60-minute grace period starts when your flight actually lands — not the originally scheduled pickup time — to give you time for taxi-in, customs, and baggage.
- Within 60 min of landing: No charge. Your driver waits.
- After 60 min: Billed at the vehicle's hourly rate, rounded up to the next full hour, then no-show rules apply if contact cannot be made.
- Please reply to your confirmation with your flight number at booking — we cannot track your flight without it.
No-Show = Full Fare Forfeited
If you have not contacted your driver or DMBJ by the no-show cutoff, the booking is closed and 100% of the fare is non-refundable. To avoid this, call (301) 531-5737 the moment you know you'll be late — we can almost always work something out if we hear from you before the cutoff.
Why Cancellation Fees Apply
When a driver is assigned to your booking, they reserve that time slot and are unable to accept other bookings during that period. This creates an opportunity cost for our drivers.
Cancellation fees help ensure:
- Drivers are fairly compensated for reserved time
- Drivers can maintain reliable income despite last-minute cancellations
- We can continue to provide quality service with dedicated professional drivers

Cancellation fees, if applicable, will be processed using the same payment method used for your original booking.
Refund Processing
If you cancel within the free cancellation window, you will receive a full refund. Refunds are typically processed within 5-7 business days and will appear on your original payment method.
For cancellations outside the free window, any applicable fees will be charged, and the remaining balance (if any) will be refunded.
