By submitting payment for a DMBJ booking, you agree to these Terms of Service in their entirety, including the Post-Trip Charges section below authorizing charges for extra time and wait time (when applicable) to the card you used at checkout.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your booking and use of ground transportation services provided by DMBJ Transportation ("DMBJ", "we", "our", "us"). By booking a trip, submitting payment, or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not book a trip.

1. Booking a trip

A booking is confirmed when payment is successfully processed and you receive a confirmation email with your booking ID. You are responsible for providing accurate pickup and drop-off information, passenger count, and any special requests at the time of booking. DMBJ may refuse or cancel a booking for any lawful reason, including incomplete information, suspected fraud, or safety concerns; in such cases, any payment will be refunded in full.

2. Pricing and what's included

The price shown at checkout is all-inclusive of:

  • Base fare for the booked trip
  • Standard tolls along your booked route
  • Parking required to complete your trip
  • Gratuity for the driver
  • All standard fees and taxes

No additional charges apply for a trip completed within the booked duration and parameters. We do not impose surge pricing after a booking is confirmed.

3. Post-trip charges

By submitting payment for your booking, you authorize DMBJ to charge the card used for that booking, after the trip, for any of the following post-trip charges that may occur. No additional confirmation is required at the time of charge.

Extra time (hourly trips)

Hourly bookings include the full vehicle experience for the booked number of hours, plus 15 minutes of complimentary grace at the start and 15 minutes at the end. If your trip runs beyond that grace, the additional time is billed as standby in 30-minute increments at the per-vehicle rate published below.

Wait and standby (all trip types)

Every booking includes complimentary wait time: 60 minutes from actual flight landing for airport arrivals; 15 minutes from scheduled pickup for non-airport pickups; 15 minutes at the start and 15 minutes at the end of hourly service. Past the applicable grace, additional standby may be accommodated subject to chauffeur availability, billed in 30-minute increments at the per-vehicle rate below. Scope and safeguards

  • Post-trip charges are limited to extra time, wait time, and standby as described above. DMBJ does not pass through unpredictable charges such as per-route tolls or parking — those are already included in your quoted price.
  • All post-trip charges are reviewed and approved by DMBJ staff before being applied. Charges are not automated at the moment the overage occurs.
  • You will receive an itemized email receipt for every post-trip charge showing the breakdown (minutes, rate, total).
  • A sanity cap applies: no single post-trip charge will exceed $2,000 without separate written authorization.
  • This authorization applies only to the card used for this booking and only to charges directly related to this trip.
  • You may revoke this authorization by contacting us before your trip begins. Once the trip has started, revocation only applies prospectively.

If the charge requires additional authentication (e.g., a 3-D Secure challenge from your bank), you will receive an email with a secure link to confirm the payment. No charge is applied to your card until authentication is completed.

Disputes: If you believe a post-trip charge is incorrect, reply to the receipt email or call the number on your booking confirmation within 30 days. We will review the charge and, if appropriate, issue a full or partial refund.

4. Wait time and no-shows

You agree to be ready at the booked pickup location at the scheduled time. If you are late, the following grace and billing rules apply, and the corresponding charges are authorized against the card used for this booking under the same Section 3 mechanism described above.

Standard pickups (non-airport)

  • 0–15 minutes late: no charge.
  • Past the 15-minute grace: standby billing applies in 30-minute increments at the per-vehicle rate (Executive Sedan $45, Premium SUV $60, Sprinter Van $75 per 30 min), subject to chauffeur availability.
  • More than 30 minutes late with no contact: marked as a no-show. The full booked fare is non-refundable and the driver is released.

Airport pickups

  • A 60-minute grace period applies, measured from the actual landing time of the flight you provided at booking (not the originally scheduled pickup time). Flight tracking is included.
  • Past the 60-minute grace: standby billing applies in 30-minute increments at the per-vehicle rate above, subject to chauffeur availability. No-show rules apply if contact cannot be made.
  • Meet-and-greet reservations follow the same wait-time structure.
  • You are responsible for providing your inbound flight number at booking. If no flight number is on file, the grace defaults to the standard 15-minute rule above.

Hourly trips

  • Hourly bookings include 15 minutes of complimentary time at the start of service and 15 minutes at the conclusion.
  • Past the grace at either end: standby billing applies in 30-minute increments at the per-vehicle rate above, subject to chauffeur availability.

5. Changes and cancellations

Cancellation timing, refund eligibility, and rebooking fees are described on our Cancellation Policy page and are incorporated into these Terms by reference. To change or cancel a booking, reply to your confirmation email or call the number listed there.

6. Card on file

When you complete checkout, your card is saved with our PCI- compliant payment processor (Stripe) solely for the purposes described in these Terms — namely, post-trip charges for the booking you just made. Your full card number is never stored on DMBJ servers; we retain only a reference token issued by Stripe.

We will not charge your card for any unrelated transaction, for any other booking, or for any recurring fee. If you believe your card was charged in error, contact us immediately.

7. Customer responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Be ready at the pickup location at the scheduled time. Bookings include a reasonable grace period; prolonged delays may be billed as wait time on applicable trip types.
  • Provide accurate passenger counts and disclose any unusual cargo, pets, or accessibility needs at booking.
  • Refrain from smoking, illegal activity, or behavior that endangers the driver or other passengers.
  • Reimburse DMBJ for documented cleaning fees resulting from damage, spills, or excessive soiling caused during your trip. Such charges are not covered by the post-trip charge authorization in Section 3 or the wait-time authorization in Section 4 and will be billed separately with itemized photographic evidence.

8. Service standards and limitation of liability

DMBJ strives to provide punctual, professional service. However, delays caused by traffic, weather, mechanical issues, or circumstances beyond our control may occur. Our liability for any missed connection, event, or consequential damage is limited to the amount paid for the affected booking, except where prohibited by law.

DMBJ is fully licensed and insured for commercial passenger transportation in the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia service areas.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect for your booking is the version published on this page at the time you submitted payment. Material changes take effect only for bookings submitted after the update.
